Alexey Ryabov (b. 1986) is a Moscow-based artist and architect. He works with computer 3D modelling and digital graphics, often collaborating with video game developers as an artist and level designer. These media define the subjects of Ryabov’s practice, where he explores contemporary culture and its relation to augmented reality, as well as non-human agency in art and modern mythologies. The artist holds a PhD in architecture and works as an architect as a researcher with theory and history of architecture. He is a member of the artists’ association Bagryanka.
