Maria Shymchuk is an interdisciplinary artist born in Crimea. A professional opera singer as well as an experienced free-diver, she is constantly trying to build bridges between physical and spiritual practices. Shymchuk’s projects often explore of how political circumstances and the recurrence of history affect our consciousness and how we can willingly mediate and alter these experiences.
