The wild ones: photographer Sasha Mademuaselle brings the party

Photographer Sasha Mademuaselle is well known on the Moscow party scene. Since the age of 17, she has been photographing her friends at parties, focusing in particular on their hair, legs and hands. Her series Girls follows Moscow women partying in the capital at night, revealing their wilder sides. “I am interested in the female body and its role in art as an object of desire,” says Mademuaselle. “My story is about something really beast-like, wild and dirty inside these pretty creatures and how it suddenly comes out.”
