A 64-year-old Russian model has just become the fresh face of L’Oreal

Senior model Valentina Yasen has appeared as part of the latest ad campaign for the Russian offshoot of French cosmetics giant L’Oreal. The 64-year-old winner of Russia’s 2018 Glamour Model of the Year award announced the news on her Instagram account Wednesday. Yasen, who is represented by the agency Oldushka, which specialises in models over 45 years old, has previously charmed catwalks, magazine covers, and fashion photoshoots with her serene elegance.

“It seems to me that women have no age – they boldly go on and try everything,” the retired theatre actress said in an interview. “I’m interested in what is happening to me. [Ageing] doesn’t scare me because this is something that I do not know.”
