30 October 2019

London’s Russian Film Week is back with a whole array of new films ranging from Kamchatka’s brown bears to the story of Russian rap.

Highlights at the eight-day festival include sci-fi coming-of-age flick Abigail; documentary A Woman’s Day, based on rare historical footage and interviews with Soviet women who lived through great social upheaval; and Sorokin Trip, a profile of modern Russia’s prophetic author Vladimir Sorokin. Comedies, war films, and dramas are also all on offer as part of a packed programme.
