As people around the world stay inside to contain the spread of coronavirus, one way to remain (somewhat) sane is to join the latest international internet craze: recreating scenes from classic works of art.
Russians have embraced the challenge with flair, digging out the sausages and hair curlers to recreate iconic Soviet posters and statues, as well as some of the most recognisable works from the Western art history cannon. From an overweight Auguste Rodin thinker in a Russian kitchen to using loo roll to imitate stately ruffs, this challenge is proof that creativity flourishes under constraint.
