Galleries might be closed, but the digital space has never been more abuzz with art. While some cultural institutions have gone online, new initiatives have also popped up. One such project is Art-Pandemic, a Facebook group which gathers the most recent works of dozens of artists from Eastern Europe and beyond.

Set up by Estonian artist Eduard Zentsik last month, Art-Pandemic has grown to showcase dozens of artists and their works, ranging from digital collage and acrylic painting to photography. The artists involved in the group include Georgian painter Rusudan Khizanishvili, President of Russia’s Artists’ Union, Konstantin Hudyakov, Colombian artist Jesus Leguizamo, and Russian artist Elena Shumacher among others.

“The more artists will describe our time, the more nuanced the chronicle of this unique and unparalleled time will become,” Zentsik told The Calvert Journal.
