See Russia with an insider’s eye with Instagram account @everydayrussia — curating the work of local photographers from across the country.
Part of the Everyday Project, which promotes storytelling challenging stereotypes across the world, the account shows Russian life in a kind light — whether that’s capturing moments of beauty, joy, or boredom, or defining places, from Sochi to Norilsk, and from the Caucasus to the Far East.
You’ll also get the chance to meet some big personalities, including a free-spirited grandmother driving a scooter in the western town of Nevel, or a group of crossdressed men enjoying the fresh air on an ice rink in Nizhny Novgorod.
