A bright comic book style is a trademark of Warsaw artist Andrzej Wieteszka.

Polish poster tradition is already world-famous, but it is still reaching new heights. Wieteszka, who posts his art on @wieteszka_illustrations, follows the Polish Poster School’s main principles: strong lines, vibrant colours, symbolism and mixing words and images. He then adds his own spirit to the designs, through his strong comic book-inspired style and bright patterns.

Follow Wieteszka to see the illustrator’s latest works: magazine illustrations, murals, packaging design, and posters for theatres and concerts. Note the special series of portrait posters, which includes international stars like Iggy Pop, David Bowie, and Kanye West, as well as Poland’s own homegrown heroes like Frederic Chopin, Nicolaus Copernicus, and Marie Sklodowska-Curie.
