Behold Kalashnikov’s latest invention: the flying motorcycle

Your daily commute is about to get a lot more interesting: weapons manufacturer best known for the AK-47 has presented a video of their new invention – a flying motorcycle that can carry one person.

The vehicle in the video resembles a quadcopter drone lifted and propelled by four rotors. Earlier this year, the Kalashnikov company promised to develop silent motorcycles, while a rival Russian company, Hoversurf, presented their prototype of a hoverbike in February.

The video of the motorcycle’s test drive was published by the company online, but details of how the invention will be used in practice haven’t yet been discussed. The main question, however, is obvious: has Kalashnikov just invent Luke Skywalker’s hover car?
