Moscow fashion brand Outlaw has launched its own streetwear-inspired kit for Russian athletes at this year’s Winter Olympics.

Created alongside creative agency DADA, the new kit features bold red and white English and Korean slogans on caps, t-shirts, scarves and coats.

All of the pieces comply with new rules set down by the International Olympic Committee, which bans Russian athletes from wearing national symbols or the country’s flag as punishment for alleged doping offences at the Sochi 2014 games.

The last minute ruling saw Russia’s original 1980s-inspired kit scrapped in favour of grey and red tracksuits, opening the door for a slew of alternative kits seeking to steal the fashion crown from official Olympic designer, Zasport.

Moscow branding agency DDVB has already released its own politically-charged designs for Russian sports fans, using the slogan, “the truth is our drug”.
