Originally from Georgia, George Nebieridze has found his photographic passion in documenting the shifting image of contemporary Berlin, with its hedonistic parties, art scene and continuous flow of its residents’ young blood. After moving to the city from his native Tbilisi in 2014, Nebieridze found himself overwhelmed by the atmosphere of freedom and sexual liberation. His goal today is to try to capture the essence of the city’s ruthless visual poetry and the floating sensation of being young. His work is more political than it might seem at first glance: amidst the growth of far-right movements worldwide, Berlin remains a truly cosmopolitan capital, and Nebieridze is always there to highlight its fragile diversity.
