What would a ceramic artist’s dream house look like? A Slovenian architecture studio has designed a building that combines the best of home and creative work life.

Located in the outskirts of Ljubljana and designed by Boštjan Gabrijelčič, Peter Gabrijelčič, and Aleš Gabrijelčič from Slovenian bureau Arhitektura, the concrete home is designed to blend in with its surroundings. Designed in a U-shape, the bunker-like house has a single floor with panoramic windows that open into a central atrium.

The space is divided in three zones: a workshop and studio, with its own separate entrance, a living space with direct access to the atrium, and a sleeping area with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. In contrast with the raw outside walls, the house’s interiors feature a neutral color palette and oak finishes to create a bright and warm feeling of intimacy. The house was built to order for one of the bureau’s clients who was moved by the increasing trend of working from home.
