If sampling Russian cuisine at the beautiful Cafe Pushkin was the highlight of your last trip to Moscow and you’re looking for an excuse to return, your food fix may soon be closer than you think.
Keep your eyes peeled for new international branches of the legendary Moscow restaurant, which is set to open in several countries over the next two years.
The restaurant’s parent company Maison Dellos will expand the Pushkin brand both through its Cafe Pouchkine restaurant chain, already in operation in Paris, as well as boutique cafe Pouchkinette. French fans of the characterful restaurant will be first to benefit from the growth of the brand, with the first three openings in France planned for next month.
It is not yet known whether the new restaurants will follow the same spectacular style as the original Moscow branch, with art-filled interiors reminiscent of an aristocratic house.
Cafe Pushkin is among Moscow’s most popular restaurants, serving traditional Russian cuisine with a French flare. The menu includes dishes such as beef stroganoff and pike stuffed with fish and apple confit.
