Urban regeneration: Gosha Rubchinskiy unveils Autumn-Winter collection

Gosha Rubchinskiy, one of Russia’s most prominent menswear designers, unveiled his Autumn-Winter collection this week, a series of outfits inspired by the Russian avant-garde and club fashion in Nineties’ Moscow. “The theme is revolution,” Rubchinskiy told The Calvert Journal. “It signifies the beginning of something new in art and in life.” Rubchinsky's lookbook, which is interspersed with images and texts from avant-garde figures such as the poet Vladimir Mayakovsky, is the final part of a trilogy that also covers his previous two collections. “We shot this lookbook in ‘places of power'," he said. “For me, right now that means Yalta, Moscow and St Petersburg.”
