Win, lose or draw: when sport met art in the Soviet Union
A new exhibition at the Proun Gallery at Moscow's Winzavod art cluster celebrates the visual history of sport in Russia through the prism of art and design from the 1920s to the 1960s. The exhibition brings together fine art, posters propagandising exercise, constructivist sportswear and the groundbreaking photography of Alexander Rodchenko. The exhibition, which was organised together with the Moscow Design Museum, runs until 30 March. You can read more about the exhibition and the relationship between state, sport and art here.
